Privacy Policy

Toolora is designed to provide useful everyday tools while keeping your information under your control. This policy explains how the current version of Toolora handles information.
Information stored by Expense Split
When you use Expense Split, the app may store:
- Group names, group dates and currency settings
- Member names
- Expense descriptions, amounts, dates and categories
- Payers, participants and each participant's share
- Optional notes, receipt references and itemized receipt details
- Payment adjustments, tax and service-charge details
- Settlement and expense currencies, manually entered FX rates and per-currency balances
- Saved People, Member Lists and their optional descriptions
- Final settlement status and completion date
Local storage
In the current version, Expense Split information is stored locally on your device. Toolora does not require an account and does not send your expense data to a Toolora server.
Collection and tracking
Toolora does not currently collect analytics, use advertising trackers, sell personal information or track you across apps and websites.
Support communications
If you contact Toolora Support, the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device details and message, is received and used to respond to your request. Please avoid sending a Toolora group file, Excel workbook or screenshot containing personal expense information unless it is necessary to resolve the issue.
Exports and imports
Toolora group files and Excel workbooks are generated on your device. A file leaves the app only when you choose to save or share it through the iOS share sheet. The selected service or recipient may retain the file and apply its own privacy practices. Toolora cannot control or delete copies after you share them.
A Toolora group file may contain group details, member names, expenses, notes, receipt and payment details, currencies, FX rates, payers and split amounts. A recipient can import it as a new, independent and editable local group. Importing does not merge with or overwrite the sender's group, and later changes are not synchronized. Excel workbooks are for reporting and cannot be imported into Toolora.
Retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, remove the app or erase the device's data. Files you previously exported remain wherever you saved or shared them and must be deleted there separately. Deleted local information cannot be restored by the Toolora developer.
Apple services
The App Store, iCloud backups and other Apple services are operated by Apple and are subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Toolora is a general utility app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The current version does not knowingly collect information through a Toolora server.
Security
Keeping your device secured with a passcode and current software helps protect information stored by the app. Take care when sharing exported files because anyone who receives them may be able to read their expense and member details or import an editable copy.
Future collaborative features
If a future Toolora version adds accounts, cloud storage or live collaboration, this policy will be updated before those features are introduced.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Toolora changes. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
